Careers & Further Education

At St Paul’s Sixth Form, we’re committed to helping you find your path, whether that’s university, an apprenticeship, employment, a gap year, or study abroad.

From your very first term, you’ll be guided, challenged, and supported to explore your interests, develop key skills, and prepare for life beyond Sixth Form.

Our approach combines expert advice, real experiences, and individual mentoring, all shaped by our belief that your future should reflect who you are and what you’re passionate about.

You arrive as you are, and you’re celebrated for it. You leave ready to take on the world.

Sixth Form Careers Support

As soon as you begin Year 12, the Sixth Form team is here to help you navigate your future choices. Through tutor time, the following topics will be covered:

  • Career pathways and how to choose the right direction for you
  • Developing employability and leadership skills
  • Understanding your responsibilities and opportunities in the wider world

All Year 12 students also complete a week of work experience in June, helping you discover more about potential careers, build confidence in professional settings, and develop essential workplace skills. There is an annual Careers Fair where a range of universities and local employers come into college, so you have opportunity to talk to them about future career paths including apprenticeships, degree apprenticeships and degree courses.

In Year 13, we continue to offer comprehensive guidance tailored to your chosen route, whether that’s applying to university, securing an apprenticeship, or entering the world of work. From writing personal statements and CVs to preparing for interviews, our team will support you every step of the way.

Whatever your aspirations, you’ll find someone here who will listen, guide, and encourage you.
